“ Brand: Kingfisher „
I've had a set of these Loppers for years. Although I don't need to use them that much while working in the Garden, I do have a need for them for some of the bushes that I am trying to get out of the ground.
I think I picked these up in Homebase all that time ago and think that these cost me around £10. Not too bad a price, and pretty average if not slightly cheap for such a tool. I don't think these are all too expensive but like with all goods you get cheaper versions and more expensive ones. I've never spent too much on a tool, and have found that average or cheaper priced ones do just as good a job.
These are quite long, but they have rectactable poles, so you can use these longer if you are looking for more power to put into your cutting, or shorter if you are just needing a not so heavy cut behind this.
These are of an ok weight. The fibreglass makes it lighter, but obviously the blades at the end add a bit weightt to this. These are certainly lighter than the old pair I used as they were just made out of the standard way
So what are these good for? More Branches and bushes. Basically anything that is brown and twig like (but thicker than a twig obviously.) I have a few annoying bushes which are sort of spiky, and these need cut into smaller sections to fit into my garden waste bin, so using thes I can cut them into little sections which makes this easier to get into the centre of the bush, and dispose of these easy enough.
The blades are sharp enough and so far i've not looked to get these sharpened and they cut fine first time when I dig these into the area I want to chop.
I would recommend these as they are a good price, do what they are meant to do and are that bit lighter weight so they aren't heavy to hold either.
A very useful lightweight fibreglass easy to use 21in lopper, designed for all general cutting tasks in the garden. Measures 54cm in length with non-stick vented cutting blade and cushion grips.
