I recently wrote a review about a Spear and Jackson trowel. The tool I am reviewing today is its mate the Spear and Jackson weed hand fork.
I would guestimate that this fork measures about 7 or 8 inches long.

=Handle
The handle of this hand fork is wood an ash wood. This wood has been weather roofed by clear lacquering. The handle is slightly shaped to make it more comfortable to hold. The handle has a hole drilled in it near the top. I think this comes with a leather strap threaded through it. You could thread a lace or string through it. This strap makes it easy to hang the fork up on a hook when not in use.

=Head
The head of this fork is carbon steel which has been heat treated, hammer finished epoxy coated. This helps protect against rust, scratches, humidity and alkalines in the soil. There are 3 prongs /tines to this fork.

=Use
This is a handy little fork to have . It can be used for a number of jobs . Use to loosen the soil around the base of a plant then pull the weeds out. Handy to fork over small areas of soil for seed sowing,
I find this fork easy to use, I can use it one handed. It is light

= Durability
This is quite a strong little fork the head being held securely in place by a ferrule/ metal ring, The steel, prongs sturdy The ash handle well weatherproofed .
