This border fork is a great fork it has a mirror polished stainless steel head with 4 tines /prongs. The stainless steel head has quite a long shaft into the stainless steel head shaft is inserted a wooden shaft which is 72cm long.
The wooden shaft splits into two at the top and makes a wishbone handle. This fork looks pretty good a traditional design . The wooden shaft is hardwood and quite weatherproof.

The stainless steel head is rust resistant. However when I put my fork to "bed "hanging in the garage for the winter I shall clean and dry the head.

I use my Spear and Jackson fork for loosening the soil on my garden, forking big clods of earth. I dig up potatoes being careful I do not spear one with a prong . I use my fork to move compost onto the garden from my compost heap. There are many other tasks I use this fork for too.

I like this border fork its smaller than a standard fork lighter easy to use . I rarely need a larger sized fork for the jobs I do in the garden
