Advantages: clean, precise cuts, easy to use, good grip

This tool is exceptional for cutting through small plant stems, but struggles for harder, woodier stems. The blade is Teflon-coated so it doesn't rust easily and can easily be sharpened with a whetstone. The fact that it is a bypass secateur(scissor blade action), allows you to cut precisely and cleanly in an easy action without excessive effort or strain. The handle is very comfortable, but opens wide so if you have small hands, you may want to go with a different product as it is just a bit too difficult for my young son to handle on his own. Personally, I have had no problems with this product. I use it primarily when I am cutting flowers from my garden (such as roses) and preparing them for use in a bouquet, but have also had success with it in pruning smaller trees and plants in my garden to keep them in order.
