Well its gardening time again. I was using my fork and thought I would tell you about it.
This is not the small hand fork in the picture but a larger garden fork

I have a Wilkinson Sword shock absorber garden fork. Wilkinson sword makes swords and razors and garden equipment, they are a very old reliable company.


This fork is very good; its strong and powerful.
It suggests that the shock absorbing design reduces the strain of digging. That is good as digging is hard work.

This fork has an extra wide foot tread this does make it more comfortable to use. The shaft is made of beech wood. The blade is made of carbon steel it has a 40mm shaft, which will make it stronger. It is a very strong design I doubt I will ever break it.
This fork has a 10 yr guarantee but I am sure I will never need the guarantee. The fork prongs are strong and should not bend.
The handle is made of plastic and easy to grip
This fork retails for about £20.

So last weekend I was using my fork in the garden loosening the earth preparing the beds for sowing seeds. I use my fork quite a bit . forking the soil both in my veg patch and in the flower borders.
I am glad I was bought this as a present a year or two ago I do not expect ever to need another one. Happy gardening Mary .
