Wilkinson sword stainless steel ladies spade

This is the spade I received as a birthday present from my husband last year; it was flattering that he considered me a lady. A ladies spade is a little smaller and lighter than a standard spade.

I was delighted with my gift it is the first new spade I have owned the others been hand me downs from my grandfather and father.

My stainless steel blade is easy to clean needing very little effort. The blade cuts nicely through the soil. As it is lighter I do not get tired so quickly digging and the spade does not make my arms ache.

My Wilkinson sword spade has an ultra strong blade, which does not bend. As it is heat-treated and tempered for strength. The blade is treated so it does not rust and corrode helps prevent soil adhesion. Its shaft is made of weathered ash. It has a polypropylene handle which is a joy to grip a perfect fit for my hand.
I have used it regularly in the garden and find it a good tool well balanced comfortable to hold makes digging easier.
It cost about 24 pounds and has a 15 year guarantee

Maybe not the most romantic of presents but certainly one I shall use.
Thank you for reading??. Mary

You've just given me the ideal present for my Mum. She has just moved , and the new garden is a nightmare....lots of digging to be done!

I've got one of these! Mine's 20 years old (it has the wooden handle) and it still looks as good as the day I got it!
