I must seem to have a lot of garden tools , yes I have quite a few Some my own , some I have due to my fathers death and me thinking I would keep them as they will be useful , some because we keep our local butterfly conservation work party tools in our garage .

Today I shall be reviewing the Wilkinson Sword Wooden FSC Hand Trowel. This is a handy little trowel

Blade /head

The head of this trowel is made from stainless steel. This does not rust easily and the smooth surface stops soil sticking to it.
It is a good size and digs into soil in my borders well, The bowl of the head is a good size for helping me fill my pots up with soil. The metal shaft sticks into the handle and is held firmly in place with a stainless steel ferrule. (ring)

Handle.

The handle is wooden made from ash it is a fairly pale wood. The handle is slightly shaped and is comfortable to hold. The handle is a good size for an adult hand to grasp. This handle has a hole drilled into it for a string so that you can hang it up on a hook.

Use.

This trowel is ideal for use when potting plants and for digging a small hole in the border when planting individual bulbs. This is a trowel that I give when the grandchildren come and "help" me garden .

Durability.

This trowel should last a long time longer I think than the 10 year guarantee. The handle is very firmly attached so it should mot come adrift from the head.

Yes. There are many trowels available some better than others. This is quite a good one perhaps not top's but yes I would recommend this.
