      Very helpful

      Compliment my kitchen perfectly

I was in Dunelm Mill recently with a friend, and while I had resolved beforehand to NOT buy anything, my resolve wavered when I saw these hiball glasses. My microwave, toaster and crockery in my kitchen are all red, and I am like a moth to a flame when I see other red kitchen things. Therefore I was powerless to resist, and I bought 2 of these glasses in red.

These glasses are conical in shape. The base is clear glass while the rest of it is coloured glass. In the picture, the glass looks like it is frosted - this is not the case; they are see-through.
They are only available in one size, 14cm high, with a base of 9cm in diameter.

Dunelm Mill say that these glasses are dishwasher safe. Sadly I don't have a dishwasher so can't give any opinion on how dishwashing effects this glass, but with handwashing they have suffered no ill effects such as becoming discoloured or scratched.

I do feel that these glasses could be slightly fragile as the glass seems quite thin. I take extra care when handling them as I think they would make an almighty mess if they shattered. I have a knack for breaking glasses, cups and mugs so I am sure at some point I can update this review in order to verify this!

As I said, I have these in red, but you can also buy these in black, lime green, purple and teal. I think this is a brilliant range of bright, cheery colours and I may be tempted to get a couple of the lime green ones also. Because they are plainly coloured they will match any decor and complement any existing glasses/crockery you already have.

There was no price sticker on the shelf when I got these glasses. However as Dunelm Mill is generally very reasonable, I felt sure that they wouldn't be too expensive. I was a tiny bit shocked when the cashier scanned them through and I discovered they were £2.49 each. Being on a tight budget, I do think that this is steep for one glass - others may not have an issue with the price.

You can buy these on the Dunelm Mill website, or in store.

I would recommend these, yes. I adore the bright colours and they look stylish enough for guests, while being just as appropriate for day to day use. I do find them a bit on the pricey side, for me anyway, but they look really good and I have been using them a lot, so I can let it go.
