I have a set of John Lewis Pyramid Hiball Glasses which I have had for the past year or so. The John Lewis Pyramid Hiball Glasses came in a set of four and cost me £12.00 - which obviously equates to £3.00 per glass. I think this is a pretty good price, but I would like the option of buying them in single form but they only seem to sell these in packs.

The John Lewis Pyramid Hiball Glasses are quite plain, but I think they look like quality glasses and do not look out of place among my best glassware. Each glass is identical and there isn't anything really to make them stand out - except for the fact that they look to be really good quality. Sometimes, elegance is simplicity. The glasses stand 15 cm tall and they are designed to hold 30ml and so they are the ideal size for a shot glass.

Each glass is comparatively heavy to other glasses, but I feel this makes them feel sturdier and better made. The base of the glass is very sturdy because it is quite thick, but the glass does thin out as it moves from the base up towards the rim of the glass. The pyramid shape is in the base of the glass and this adds another dimension. These glasses do not easily crack or chip, but if you drop one then it will break and so you do need to be somewhat careful when using them.

The glasses are dishwasher proof, although I have to say that I actually don't think they wash up very well in the dishwasher and I find they come up more sparkly and clear when they are hand washed. For this reason I tend not to place them in the dishwasher.

Overall, I think these are decent glasses and I would recommend them.
