==Callaway Golf Towel==
A few months back my other half took part in a golf competition which is held at his golf club each Wednesday. He was lucky (definitely luck) enough to win the competition which I was over the moon about assuming that he would pocket some money. However he came away with a few free gifts which included some Callaway Golf balls, a Callaway pitch repair and ball marker and this a Callaway Golf Towel. As he already had a Taylor Made golf towel attached to his bag he passed this little towel over to the newest golfer of the family, Jack.
Jack was really impressed to be able to attach this little towel to his golf bag although to be fair once the towel was on his junior sized golf bag the towel did look rather large compared to the towel which is attached to my other half's bag.
It is a good idea that Jack have a towel as it encourages him to keep his clubs in a tip top condition. In these wet and miserable winter days it is important to keep the dampness and mud off the clubs after each use to keep them in good order. Not only does this make sure that he has pride in his belonging but also chunks of mud aren't left on the club when he takes it out of his bag for the next shot. Of course the balls also need to be cleaned up and wiped down and depending on the weather and how muddy your ball looks upon taking your next shot you may well need to pitch mark the ball and pick it up and give it a wipe off of dampness and/or mud.
The towel itself is square in shape, which the majority of golf towels are. It is a super soft feeling material and it is made up of 100% cotton velour. It measures 16 inches across and seeing as it is square in shape measures 16 inches down as well.
As with most golf towels there is a little clip that is on the top of the towel and this is easily used in order for the towel to be clipped on to the golf bag so that it is always at hand and ready to use. This clip on this Callaway golf towel is made of a tough and sturdy plastic that will surely last well and is not going to snap off any time soon.
I have had to wash the towel a couple of times as it was crusted up with mud (which I had to scrape of a bit before putting into my machine) but with a nice hot wash with a lot of other golf related items the towel came up looking and feeling as good as new. Of course I didn't add any fabric conditioner to the wash so that the towel absorbs as much dampness as possible next use.
Although the other half was pleased to win something in a competition and Jack was more than impressed to be able to have this towel as his own I must say that I don't think paying out for a towel such as this is really a necessity. The RRP of this towel is £9.99 pence which seems rather expensive when any old towel will do. Of course it does have the clip which makes it secure to the bag and close at hand after each shot is taken. The towel does look the part too as I guess an old hand towel stuck around the the boys golf bag wouldn't have the same impressive look about it.
Overall I have to say as far as a golf towel goes this one is a good one. It is soft and strong with a good make up of material enabling a good clean of the clubs after every use. It washes up well and stays soft and colour-fast. The clip to attach the towel to the bag is strong and sturdy and will surely last a very long time.
I think a good score of 4 out of 5 stars is in order and if you are looking at buying a good golf towel then this should be top of your list.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
Summary: a good useful golf towel
