Dunlop Golf Umbrella
Advantages: Cheap price, well made
Many people purchase golf umbrellas purely as they are larger and cover them better when out walking, shopping and so on, but I purchased mine for it's intended purpose (yes, I am a lady golfer!). It's listed anywhere between £8 and £30 (a ridiculous price), I paid £9.99 from Sports Direct in Leeds back when it was called Sport Soccer. I think £9.99 is more than a fair price as you get plenty of umbrella for your cash.
It's a large umbrella, obviously, with a 62" cover styled in lightweight navy and bright white, with the 'Dunlop' logo on the navy section. It's suitable for men and women, with a durable black handle with a comfortable grip. It covers me (5 foot 9) and husband (6 foot 3) very well, so I'd say it's suitable for all. It does have a nice long handle and point, too. The umbrella is well made with all the spokes inside having lasted me well over two years now, never broken, never gone inside out, and never rusted. I cannot complain at all - it's a very well made and trustworthy umbrella and ideal for the green, where wind speeds can really build up out on the open course.
The umbrella due to it's size does not come with a case nor does it really need one, though it does close and stay closed with a blue wrap around tie. I've seen many other golfers use this particular umbrella (I have also seen it in black and white) and all agree that for the money it can't be beaten. It's one of my top buys and I use it when not golfing, too - basically it's essential for heavy rain as it's strong and keeps you dry. An essential for the back of the car, and lightweight enough for me to use when pushing my daughter in her buggy, too - and it keeps the rain off us both! It would be ideal for camping and fishing, too. If you can get hold of it for around a tenner, jump for it as one day (soon probably knowing our atrocious weather) you'll really be thanking yourself for buying it.
Five out of five. None of your flimsy £1 umbrellas here thankyou ;)
Summary: A golfing (or non golfing) essential
