As golf is such a technical sport, minor differences in your setup can result in big differences to the outcome of a shot. One problem faced by golfers is knowing how high to tee up a ball when using a driver (it's important to tee the ball fairly high off the ground in order to achieve a proper strike), and subsequently repeating that height on the next tee. The problem can be remedied by using a tee which is of a consistent height - namely a 'Castle Tee'.

Castle tees feature a barrelled mid section which stops them from being pushed too far into the ground, thus allowing the golfer to tee the ball up the same height time and time again. Castle tees come in a number of sizes, but today I'm taking a look at the driver size variety.

In terms of the price, you can currently purchase a pack of fifteen Castle Tees from Amazon for 38p plus £1.40 shipping costs. The combined price works out at around 12p each, which I would argue is good value for money. From golf pro shops you can pick up a larger pack for around £3, although here the price per tee can be little more expensive.

Unfortunately, the majority of the driver size Castle Tees are a less-than-manly bright pink in colour - although this has the plus point of making them easy to spot on the course. The tees are very robust and don't often break - in the rare instance that one has broken in the past, the break usually occurs when the pointed end snaps off from the castle portion, thus making it impossible to put into the ground. Overall though, these driver height Castle Tees are really excellent little buggers which have made a noticeable difference to the consistency of my driving in the last few years - highly recommended (and don't let the garish pink shade put you off!)
