I play golf, well I think the more accurate phrase is, I attempt to play golf but I am not very good at it. Those silly little white balls never go where I want them to but hey, at least I can try and look the part with all the gear. One of the things that I finds helps my game, and really I need everything I can to help me, is a golf glove.
The golf glove wasn't very expensive, less than £10 I think but its a good starter golf glove for someone who is not that good at golf but needs some form of grip for their hands.
I've had this glove for a good number of years now and even though it looks quite dirty, it is still in good shape with no rips or tears and it has held its shape well too. It is made of a lovely soft leather and when you put it on it is a really tight fits but really moulds to my hand well and is almost like I'm wearing a second skin, just with a lot better grip. Its very flexible and I can really move my hand in it. I can make a good fist and get a good grip around my club but it also stays on my hand well. Its easy to put on. What I like about it is that it's got a velcro fastening at the bottom of the glove so it opens up to enable you to put your hand in and then you can tighten it a bit if you pull the velcro over to one side. In order to take it off I have to pull up each finger and then ease it off like that but that's easy enough. As well as being made out of leather, the glove has some lycra in it too so that's what gives it its flexibility and a good fit.
There are some mesh panels in the knuckles and fingers section and also one on the top palm of the hand of the glove. These are there to keep the inside of the glove cool and fresh and they really do work. My hand never gets sweaty and I can wear this glove even in the hot weather and it is not unbearable.
The glove is also elasticated around the wrist so it never rubs or irritates me when I am playing either. What I like about it is that it has a little ball marker on it too. There is basically a little R button which snaps onto the glove like a little snap and comes out when you need to mark your ball on the tee. This is a handy place to keep one ensuring you always have a mark when you are playing.
For an inexperienced golfer like myself this is a great value, hard working glove and one I recommend.
