Advantages: Glows in dark, good value
Disadvantages: Doesn't travel as far
The premise is quite a strange one but after a round of golf at my local that went on a bit longer than expected I quickly saw how useful a glow in the dark golf ball could be. Despite starting a round in the late afternoon the light quickly faded and with 3 holes to go it was pretty much pitch black. Suffice to say trying to see where I'd hit the ball and even worse where it had landed was nearly impossible.
The solution while looking online was the Twilight Tracer. Quite an odd premise I'll admit but an excellent one. Once hit with a golf club the flashes for 5 minutes giving you the opportunity to find your golf ball even if it is dark.
The ball itself is in line with the official weight and standards of the USGA meaning it can be used in competitions. In my personal experience the ball does not travel as far as other premium brand golf balls but saying that it is not by much.
If you are interested I think the light effect is best demonstrated by seeing it in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JGElhrRZA8&fea ture=player_embedded This video should give you a good idea of what to expect!
Overall I thought the product was fantastic value. It currently retails for around £9.99 and while this may seem expensive for a single golf ball, just think of all the money you will save because you won't lose this ball when it disappears into the rough...This is quite a short review but there isn't too much more I can actually say about the product.
Summary: Excellent for a spot of golf in the evening
