Garmin Streetpilot i3 ... you buy a Sat Nav system you will wonder how you ever coped without one! I bought this for my birthday last week, as couldn t think of anything I wanted, and as the Garmin i3 was on offer, I bought it. Unsure of how good it would be, I can happily now say it is an amazing piece of kit. I love it, and it rates as the single greatest thing I have ever bought, along with my iPod. Easy to use, gets you to wherever you want, and the single best thing with it is getting alerts to ANY speed camera thanks to a database from www.pocketgpsworld.com. Garmin nuvi 200 ... I got my car I realised that I lack even basic geographic knowledge and could only easily find my way to places I had already been several times. Sat Navs are now very popular and have come down in price, so I decided to invest in the Garmin Nuvi 200 (UK). I purchased this from Halfords when they had a sale on Sat Navs for £89.99, but they generally retail for £99.99. Although these devices have come down in price since first being marketed, they re still very pricey. I wouldn t have bought one if I felt safe with your bog standard map and road markings, but I wanted the security of knowing I had something to guide me; getting stressed and flustered when you re lost... Road Angel Navigator 7000 ... ve had this satnav for about 9 months now since I recieved my free upgrade from the 6000 and so far cannot fault it. The speed camera locator has never missed a location and allerts you of your speed, a coloured indicator of whether you are within the limit or not on approach as well as a countdown to the location before you get there. Unlike the 6000 it also tells you the speed limit through voice as well as on the display when it allerts you to a camera which is very usefull as you don t have to look down to see what speed you should be doing.
