One big issue with Garmin , is that its American Origin is very apparent, things like saying "highway" can get annoying. Also support is based largely from USA. There a whole host of additional features which are all very adequate. Being a first time SAT NAV user I found both the Price and the ease of use to be amazing. I tried the Garmin nuvi 310 in my local Staples store, and the manager allowed me to enter post codes to search by, and get a true feel for the product. When you submit the post code / address you want to go, you can press the detor option, incase of road problems and it gives your a secondary route (if avaliable).
