I got this product for £90 in currys and it has been excellent value for money. Sadly, at the moment I cant use it because when I tried to update the maps using the Garmin website all it did was corrupt my maps and leave me with nothing but a blank screen. Therefore, Garmin cannot be rated very highly but lets focus on what you get out the box which is very very good.
The receiver is the best part of the product it is very responsive and in my time using the product I have rarely ever not had a signal even with the unit sitting on the passenger seat of my car it will still direct me around town. The reason for this it has a flip up external aerial which doesn't look as bad as you might think.
The usability of the maps is very good and clear and the instructions which cannot be voice changed as concise and obvious. My worry has always been that your sat-nav tells you things too late for you to change lanes etc but this is not an issue with thing device.
The only thing I don't like is the multimedia feature add on. They just don't seem useful to me. I don't understand the point of them. It just seems to be a way of adding features and therefore price without adding much usefulness to the product. Perhaps some people will have a use for music and picture etc but the sound quality is rubbish and these days everyone carries phones or ipod's with there media on that and not a sat nav.
