Garmin Streetpilot 2650 ... automatic route capability, voice prompts and a large color display - in addition to dead reckoning. This means that once the unit is installed by an authorized Garmin installer, you'll continue to get navigation guidance even if you lose GPS reception.
With the StreetPilot 2650's touch screen and remote control, entering and retrieving information has never been easier. Perfect for both business and vacation, its turn-by-turn routing and voice prompts get you where you're going accurately and safely. Its fast processor means quick route calculations and map redraws. The 2650 also features a large, easy-to-read screen, built-in maps, and everything needed to download additional map detail and look up points of interest and addresses in seconds. Select maps and transfer data directly to the unit through a USB connection and onto a standard CompactFlash memory card.
The StreetPilot 2650 also offers WAAS-enabled support to ensure the highest degree of GPS accuracy.
Unlike the 2610, the StreetPilot 2650 has dead reckoning capabilities, so you will continue to get navigation guidance even when GPS signals are obscured. To use this feature, a special dead reckoning cable must be connected to your vehicle's speedometer and backup lights by an authorized Garmin installer. Once installed, your StreetPilot will acknowledge your turns as well as your distance traveled when GPS reception is unavailable. Driving with dead reckoning capabilities is so seamless, you won't even know if you've lost GPS reception.
Simply unplug the dead reckoning cable from the vehicle adapter if you want to use the 2650 in another vehicle. It will navigate the same way as the StreetPilot 2610.

Garmin Streetpilot 2620The perfect Christmas gift for sherpas everywhere (711 words)

a fast road where I feel like a snail where even the dithering old dears and the articulated lories are overtaking me on a very steep hill. Still the Garmin allows me to select the shortest route and so on that fateful day when I first used it to venture from wet and windy Wales to Barnsley my usual choice of directions from Multimap was abandoned mostly because Multimap was adamant the quickest way was via a series of motorways through every major city taking an enormous detour whilst Garmin offered a more direct A road route. I stuck in the first few letters of the postcode of my destination followed by the street name and hit shortest route. All was going swimmingly ...

are paying for the SatNav. Negatives I don t really have any negatives to say about the G Garmin Streetpilot C510 Deluxe. It has served me well every single time I have used it - this being at least once a week over the last year. If I am to be really critical, I would say that the only minor fault is its bulkyness - it is not slimlined as many of the other branded SatNav s are. All in all, I love my Garmin, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I d say that this device covers pretty much all functions that you are likely to get in a mid-priced SatNav. Hope this review was helpful in making your ...

The Garmin C510 review is an affordable Sat-Nav unit that is available with maps of the most of Europe, included in the price. The unit itself is medium size - approximately the same size as the TomTom equivalent - The 700series. The maps are very accurate and the interest points very comprehensive The traffic unit lets the ...
