I bought this Navigon a few weeks ago and I have it already 2 weeks in my possession. Nevertheless, I decided to exchange it for a different system. The Navigon 2110 Max is a very nice device, but it has some important shortcoming in my opinion, especially for those who like to go on holidays:
- Navigation with coordinates is not possible. Foreign camping sites are often specified in the camping guides by coordinates, because the addresses of those sites are often unclear (no house or street name).
- POIs (e.g. PIN machines and supermarkets) are very limited and they can not (yet) be added by the owner (eg. Como Italy, according to the 2110 Max there are no PIN machines available in that region).
- When you take your device with you in your jacket, it goes on and off spontaneously. This is because the on / off button is too sensitive in my opinion.
- The machine stops loading, when the sun shines, because the battery is getting to warm. So if you don't use the Navigon for foreign holidays, I can tell you that is a good device. If you do want to use it in other countries, than any other device is perhaps a better choice.
