As a satnav amateur, wanted a device that just told me how to get where I am going without sending me down dead ends or saying the quickest way to my destination is by driving down and nose diving into the canal. The Navman is a fabulous GPS system if you get fed up of reading maps that are twenty years old and the whole place you are visiting has changed its layout.
A lot has been put into designing the Navman. Weighing in at approx five to six hundred grams, it is very lightweight to hold. The edges are curved and the satnav itself is thin and slim. The screen size is a very impressive 4.7 inches which is nearly as big as my portable DVD player. The screen itself is clear and just by glancing at it you can near enough tell whereabouts you are headed.
It has all the basic features that other GPS systems have such as getting to your destination quickly and efficiently, but it has some really awesome features. Since buying the Navman I don't think I will get a speeding ticket ever again as when I am approaching a camera, a visual and verbal warning tells me to safely slow down which I believe has made me become a safer driver since buying this GPS system.
I have saved money on petrol as it has an economical button that reduces the amount of times I have to keep stop and starting (i.e. at junctions or roundabouts) by re-assessing my route to help lower c02 emissions and fuel usage, so I am doing my bit for the environment too.
I have even used it walking. The Navman features walking mode where I can find my way around places and find out where the nearest food outlets are. This is extremely handy if you find yourself in the middle of nowhere and want to find a place with some people. It can also be plugged into your laptop / computer to update safety camera locations and connect to online services.
