Packard Bell GPS 400 ... be used for in-car or pedestrian navigation. The navigation software is pre-installed. To get started, all the user has to do is turn the GPS 400 on, plug in the map card and enter a destination. Maps are displayed on the large 3.5-inch color touchscreen and precise voice guidance with turn-by-turn directions is clearly audible, thanks to the loudspeaker.

The GPS 400 offers fast GPS reception and increased sensitivity, thanks to the latest SiRF chipset. The navigation software offers incomparable ease of use, thanks to its intuitive menus and touchscreen controls. The user-friendly interface includes 2D and 3D maps with voice guidance, optimal routing for any distance, and instant address retrieval from History, Favorites, and Points of Interest (POI).

The vast POI collection includes thousands of restaurants, fuel stations, shops and more. POIs can be used both in car and on foot, making the GPS 400 ideal for traveling across country or exploring city streets. The POI collection can be easily updated by downloading the latest collection from Internet. In addition, speed camera locations can be downloaded and transferred to the GPS 400.

When it's not guiding, it's entertaining - the GPS 400 doubles as a MP3 music player and photo viewer. The built-in MP3 player and photo viewer applications let the user enjoy media files stored on a SD or MMC card. The GPS 400 also comes with Packard Bell Magic Picture PC software for editing and transferring photos to the memory card in a format optimized for viewing on the GPS 400.
