Advantages: Stylish, easy to use, good camera detection
Disadvantages: Short battery life & annoying speed camera alerts
The snooper syrius is a compact, yet fully featured sattelite navigation / speed camera detector capable of both getting you where your going and keeping your licence safe whilst doing so.
Information and mapping is provided via a very clear 4 inch widescreen colour LCD and via voice prompts (available in male & female voices in various languages).
Although the mapping is available in western european version, I chose the UK & Ireland model as I never travel abroad so this was the cheapest option. I also got lucky as there was an offer available for lifetime camera update subscriptions, which are downloaded to the sat nav with a USB cable supplied. The software is very easy to use and guides you through the update process.
Navigation is easy from either a street name or a post code and you can scroll the map yourself on screen and select the destination on the screen.
Its a very stylish, easy to use unit, my only fault being that the speed camera alerts can be rather annoying, although they are much less annoying than a 3point & £60 ticket. The camera alerts are switchable and you can store your own alert points if neccesary.
Summary: If you need to find your way without speeding tickets then its faultless
