Got this as a present, Didn't think i needed one but don't think i could be with out it now!

Its a lot thinner than the originals which is perfect for slipping in your hand bag and the clumsy arm that attached the old ones to the windscreen has been replaced by a slim line click on version.

The Voice is clear and you can amend it so it repeats the instruction so if your concentrating (or in my case chatting/singing to the radio!) and miss it the first time you don't panic.

A big problem i had when i borrowed my dad's older version is the length of time it took to find a satallite, often it would locate me just as i arrived at my destination after 3 hours of getting lost but they seem to have improved the software.

My parents seems pretty pleased with the speed warning that is now included. It flashes if you are breaking the speed limit (i'm glad it doesn't nag you but i'm sure that will be in the next version!)

Another hand tool I use is the review, once you have programmed a journey you can quickly check it either by text, map or a run through of the journey which is great if the Tom Tom does lose signal.

Also another feature that saves time is the "home" one you just have to pre-programme your home address and with one touch it caculates your journey home so you don't have to faff about typing in the address.

It does have a "recent destination" function however i think it would be good if it had an address book.

Definatley a good buy, especially for a woman travelling alone - it takes away the worry of being lost in a strange place on a dark night.
