Advantages: clear maps and voice instruction

Disadvantages: the speed camera alert bleep makes me jump

This is a wonderful gadget. No more searching maps before leaving and then trying to get a quick squint at it again whilst driving. More importantly, no more getting lost and spending time driving in circles getting increasingly frantic! The thing I like the most about owning this is the freedom it has given me to go to places in obscure locations. Many times I have been put off going somewhere because looking on a map is confusing to find the best route, small little roads that are hard to plan or the look of strange ring roads or one way systems. This sat nav takes all the grief away. a pleasant voice comfortingly tells you where you are going and you can check your current position at any time. I have also used this when walking in unknown countryside as night was falling and it really helped. Another useful function is the details on the amount of miles to travel and the amount of time it will take which re-adjusts as you drive.

Summary: very useful and opens up new places
