... card does pack good amounts of power for its price, but this doesnt justify a purchase over the 3850 from ati or even the 3870.
The worst thing about this card is that its fairly loud due to its not so efficient cooling design.
The card is ideal for small computers with limited space and it will serve well for small sli setups with tiny cases as they scale just as well as the 8800gt in sli.

Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 ... both nvidia and ati as reviews show that this card beats the 1900xtx which was the most powerful card out ffrom the previous gen. The amazing thing is that this is a upper mid range card that sells cheaply and beats off a lot of more expensive cards from the previous gen that still sell on ebay today. This card uses hardly any power compared to the previous gen card too, and it uses slightly less than its bigger brother the 3870. power usage at peak is 96w! This plays all the lates games, and can be overclocked very well. Go for the 512mb version if you plan to play crysis or any other dx10 game. PNY GeForce 8 8600GT ... fair to excellent throughout most games, with even intense games such as Crysis being playable on medium settings at 1024x768. With only 256 MB of memory, it is going to struggle with the next gen games, but it performs admirably with older games, giving frame rates consistently of 45 plus in medium settings on games such as FEAR and Gears of War. If you're looking to really take advantage of your PC's power, you'd probably want to see the games at higher resolutions with all the settings up so take heed of this. I upgraded my graphics card from a 7300 GT to this card as the value for money looked excellent and I certainly wasn't disappointed. If you're in the mark... What SLI means is you can add in another video card to boost your performance. Performance The 6600GT is a reasonable performer even on modern games, but as you would expect the most demanding games like Crysis won't work very well, even the latest and most expensive video cards cannot run Crysis properly! When run through 3D Mark 06 the card scored 1830 points, this is a reasonable score for such an old card.
