Asus EN8400GS SILENT/P ... bought his card 2nd hand to replace an old gpu that exploded on me. I bought as a temporary solution so was not expecting much. Desktop performance was very good, with the card turning in a Windows Experience Index score of 4.8, enabling it to run Windows Vista s Aero interface with all its features enabled. The card supports PureVideo HD; both DVD and high-definition content played back smoothly with top-notch visuals during our tests. Based on the Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT engine, it supports the full suite of DX10 special effects found in games such as Company of Heroes. The EN8500GT was a poor performer in some 3D tests. Gainward Bliss 8500GT PCX TV DVI SilentFX ... weak card, but, you can t expect much from such a tiny piece of hardware, and it s ALMOST CERTAINLY not worth £75. You could pick up one of these for at least 15 quid, and it s worth only £15, because it is so weak it could hardly run older titles, AND I used the 512MB version of this, it just won t cut it for gamers, it s fine for just standard desktop work such as typing documents and stuff like that. And doing stuff like web browsing and Youtube, but for games? No, just don t bother, you want something for games go and buy an either a GTS 250 or a ATi 5750, both of those will trounce this card and both of those are much more worth the amount of money they re bei... Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 ... is an extremely good budget card. In some cases it can be as fast as the nVidia GeForce GTX 260, and I can t believe you get 1024 MB of GDDR5 memory for at least £100. It s a crazily small amount of money for such a good graphics card, the card itself is fairly long, but not as long as some of the bigger, faster ATi cards. The fan on it is very quiet, and it does a good job at cooling it too, it can be altered using the Calalyst Control Centre, and the card can also be overclocked from that utility too. I m not sure if this card supports the ATi Eyeinfinity technology, which allows you to run 3 screens. But if it does, that s another plus point, and another reaso...
