I finally replaced my old Diamond Stealth II 4 meg PCI video card with a 3dfx Voodo3 3000 AGP 16 meg card. At first I could not tell any difference, but then I tried a few games that did not run well before and they all ran perfect, I could not believe the quality difference. Then I tried something else. I keep the windows resource meter on because in the past when I ran 4 surfing bars it would warn me when my resources were running low, as you know your system can lock up when your resources are gone. I am happy to say I can run 8 surfing programs and the meter stays in the green. Yes it was worth the investment, I recommend it to anyone.

The Voodoo3 3000 comes with 16 MB of SDRAM. (Not EDO, SDRAM is a lot faster.) There is a TV/S-Video Out Connector. They also provide a S-Video to RCA cable so you can connect it to any TV RCA plug or S-Video in. There is a Digital Video Port for your DVD hook up.

Bus type is AGP1x and 2x, it supports DirectX, Glide and OpenGL. It is a 128 Bit card. Software games included are Unreal, Need For Speed III and Descent3. The resolution is up to 1600 x 1200 in 32-bit color, with lower color resolution up to 2046 x 1536. It is a 2D/3D Accelerator. There is on line help or a 1-800 number for support.

You will need at least a 90MHz or higher CPU, ( 200MHz recommended) a CD-Rom, 16MB of Ram and Windows 95,98 or NT 4.0.
