PNY GeForce 8 8800GT ... great level of power for this price. Makes use of a widely popular but still extremely powerful chipset and delivers it with a versatile board and a substantial level of compatability with other devices (HDTV etc). Installation is as easy as with any other PCI-E card and has nothing unusual in its setup to stymie your path to enjoying some fantastic framerates and Direct X 10 compatibility. The software suite is nothing particularly special but then it doesnt need to be, its NVidia powered and uses all their in-house software for multi-dispaly setup and output configuration, which generally works flawlessly. EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GT ... is one of the better manufacturers of NVIDIA graphics cards, that is why I paid slightly over the average price for the EVGA 8800GT. The box it arrives in is plain but tells you stuff you need to know regarding specs, useful if you were to buy it in a shop. The card is packaged well and comes with 2 VGA to DVI adaptors as well as some other cables that I have not needed. The card itself is the standard NVIDIA design. The first thing I thought it how sleek and big it is. The fan seems bigger than on some other standard cards I have seen. The cards performance is outstanding for the cost. Gainward Bliss 7800GS AGP TV Dual DVI Golden Sample Goes Like Hell ... have had this card for some time now and overall this is a good choice for if you are simply looking to play games, personally I have played Oblivion, X3:reunion, Farcry and Sims 2 to name but a few on their respective highest settings without any problems. Installation of the card was easy enough, although i would note that due to the size of the card some of the smaller PC cases may have difficulty housing it. It also extends across one of the other card slots in my computer so if space and PCI scots are critical i would suggest a more compact card.
