I have used this card in my computer for over a year now, my PC is not the greatest or fastest in the world, single core, 1GB of RAM and this was my main reason for purchasing this card. The fact that it ships with 512MB as standard was what really made it stand out. Many new computers ship with an onboard graphics chipset and these are usually inferior unless you invest in a fairly expensive system or even a custom built unit. This card is comes with a standard S-video to component splitter, and a 6 pin PCI-e to molex power converter along with whole load of game DVDs if you get the bundle. The bundle gives you some sample game demos so you can try out and see how good the card actually is. The card is slightly redesigned from its previous versions with a new heatsink and better fan. the fan takes air through the front and blows it out the back taking it through the heatsink. Asus EAH4850/HTDI/512M ... bought the EAH4850 to try and play so modernish games, such as GTA IV, and it doesn t disappoint. Previously, while using the internal graphics card on my pc, GTA IV was unplayable and other most other games could only be run on minimum settings. With the 4850 I can increase the settings on those games almost up to maximum. I can only run GTA IV on medium settings as the rest of my computer isn t up to the specs, but if I upgrade the rest of my computer I can simply transfer the 4850 to my new computer (as long as it has a PCI E socket which is becoming standard on most motherboards).
