Being somebody who dabbles in all 3 I can think of no better card at this price point. With regard to games it offers premium quality, giving a large boost in FPS in all my games. Zotac GeForce 8400GS ... recently bought this graphics card to speed up the family computer and enable it to play the latest PC games, as it had only the integrated Intel graphics before. I have to say, it has done a marvelous job and I can now play all the latest PC titles. It is available for very good prices on the internet and I got mine for around thirty pounds including postage. It has 512MB of onboard memory, supports DirectX 9 and 10 and enables you to watch high-definition movies on your computer. This means you can watch high definition films six times the detail of standard DVDs. Windows Vista Aero features such as the sidebar and Flip 3D are enhanced by the graphics processor. ... XFX GeForce 8800 GT ... was very impressed by this graphics card, since it can run all my games (Red Alert 3, SPORE, The Sims 3, etc) on full settings at 1440x900, and was very useful for converting a film for my iPod, using Badaboom. The installation was easy, but this depends more on the case than the card itself. Please be warned that this card requires 2 PCI-E power cables, although the card did come with them, if I am correct. This card is more than su... BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC ... 8800 GTS is a now a fairly dated graphics card, it was released by Nvidia back in 2007. Back in 2007 I decided to build my own PC - as I like to play games and use 3d modelling programs It needed to be powerful and have a lot of graphical processing power under its hood. After a lot of research in to graphics cards I realised that the choice would end up being from either ATI or Nvidia. I chose this card. There was no technical reason why I chose Nvidia over Radeon, but unlike ATI cards, I did understand the GeForce naming conventions. Basically, the different cards are sorted in to 3 categories and the letters after the number signify which catergory that card bel... Read the full review: Dated, but still a good option! by Byren |
