ATI Rage Fury Pro:
... of the problems I have had with my computer have become Dooyoo legend. My most recent and significant problem came about due to what was thought to be a graphics card problem. As a result of this a friend of mine recommended an ATI RagePro graphics card. At this very moment in time my considered thought is that has been one of the worst purchases of my life. After an initial period when we actually found out ... Read the full review: Why you shouldn't buy ATI by cpf1993 |

ATI Rage Fury Pro ... bought this card because it was one of the best available at the time. It was reviewed as being a little slow by some of the computer magazines but it made up for this with the features it has. The card has DVD capabilities, ports to connect your PC to your TV, video, camcorder to your PC etc for editing and viewing(includes a lead and scart adapter). It comes with 32mb of ram onboard and this gives it some power to handle these memory guzzling 3d games like Quake and Unreal. I wouldnt buy this card now if I was looking for a video card, but it is a competent offering from ATI. It handles 3d games well and offers so much in a card with TV out and DVD. Perhap... Guillemot 3D Prophet II GTS ... I bought my 3D Prophet II GTS 32MB last August, it cost me £250 and for that, I expected to be blown away by its performance, and I was. It’s a seriously powerful card. Nowadays, though, it’s certainly not king of the hill, with the GTS Ultra and GeForce3 outperforming it, but those are £350-£400 cards even today. I think the GTS is an excellent card for modern gaming. Today, I think you’d have problems finding a 32MB GTS for sale, but I think you could get a 64MB GTS for about £140-£170. The GTS’s nearest competitor from a different brand is ATI’s Radeon. The Radeon 64MB DDR costs about £130. So I suppose the point of this review is:... Matrox Marvel G400 TV ... first glance I was slightly pesamistic about the Matrox Marvel G400-TV because of its lack of memory. With only 16MB of SGRAM memory it did not compare well with other graphics cards with 32MB as standard. However, although dated, the Matrox Marvel G400-TV peformed excellently in all fields. For games, the card gave an excellent frame rate at a resolution of 800x600 and faired quite well for a resolution of 1024x768. However, with new games coming out demanding more from your graphics card the Matrox should not be bought with gaming in mind. The card comes with an external box for connecting TV aerials, and video and audio inputs and outputs , which makes connecting...
