Guillemot 3D Prophet 2 MX ... days, with most new computers being sold with processors clocked at over 800Mhz, it is no longer your CPU that holds back your computers gaming performance. These days, the major bottleneck in pc systems is the graphics card, meaning that if you want faster graphics, you want a faster graphics card. And this is one of the good ones, for a diminuitive price. I got mine for £85, and it made an astounding difference to my P3 500 based system, I was previously using a 32Mb ATi Rage Fury card, which can handle itself in most game situations, until recently. For example, before, on Hitman: Codename 47, as soon as the action got going, my pc started to creak on a res... Read the full review: The best value upgrade a gamer could make. by jockyno1 |

3dfx Voodoo3 AGP ... bought a Voodo 3 3000 AGP in autumn of 2000 after a bad experience with an nvidia TNT2 Model 64 (see my opinion elsewhere on dooyoo). Installation was a doddle, both hardware and software. I immediately tried out the old favourite, Quake 2, and was knocked out by the smoothness of the game at high resolutions (1024 x 768 and higher). Unreal was also fine, as was the much newer Midtown Madness 2, while Half Life was faster than I'd ever seen it before. But what really amused me was the fact that I co... 3dfx Voodoo3 AGP ... know this card is now a old boy in the league of svga 3d 3dfx cards, but i am no great game player and it has done a very good job for me for about a year now with no problems. If u want a tip i have detected this card runs very hot while it runs so a fan mounted from a pentium fan does the buisness and keeps it cool and very functional this was done by evo sticking 4 red rawl plugs cut down and the fan screwed into them and left to dry. I have done this with a few of my mates cards and no one has compained of overheating problems so if u can get this card it is a good all rounder but now seems a little slow for the elite game player of today but i cannot see me chang...
