EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked ... Blazing fast card. Running my monitor at 1080p native resolution, running COD:WAW and L4D maxed and getting steady frames. Running the fan at 68% with EVGA s precision tool during these games will yield GPU temps of 70C (not bad at all!). Now, for those of you who are worried about this completely covering up your SATA ports: you re in luck. You won t be able to use normal SATA cables and fish your way around the card, there isn t enough clearance. HOWEVER, if you purchase "right angle SATA cables", and plug the right angled end into the motherboard, you will have about a millimeter of clearance between the plastic of the cable and the cooling unit of the... EVGA e-GeForce 9800 GT ... Though it has grown old now but is still a very good choice for mid range to mid high range gamers. You can run games like Prince of Persia, Company of Heroes and Call of Duty with almost highest configuration. But people wishing to play games like STALKER or Crysis then you better look for a costlier card. Power requirement is not very high and you can rum this with a standard 450W power supply with one HD and one CD drive. Not much heat problem but the fan makes a lot of noise. There are passively cooled versions also available though. The price of the card is not very high. EVGA has a very nice package with assured performance and tangible overclocking capability.... EVGA e-GeForce 9400 GT ... think there is a bit of a problem in the way most people talk about low end cards. The words "poor" or "weak" or "slow" come up too much. Really these things are inappropriate and I think the 9400gt has had a bit of a rough ride with public opinion. The problem is that the 9400gt is part of the nVidia 9 series, a very recent line of cards, but it is at the bottom of the line. This means that you are getting a newer card than any of the 8 series and the newest compatibility features etc. but it will not outmatch cards like the 8800gt in performance because that was at the top of the 8 series. So, does that mean the 9400gt is a slow, poor,... Read the full review: Excellent for its purposes by illogicology |
