I have used this card in my computer for over a year now, my PC is not the greatest or fastest in the world, single core, 1GB of RAM and this was my main reason for purchasing this card. The fact that it ships with 512MB as standard was what really made it stand out. Many new computers ship with an onboard graphics chipset and these are usually inferior unless you invest in a fairly expensive system or even a custom built unit. I would like to start of by saying that buying this card would be a stupid thing to do, if you like to play games, even old games. And as a budget card i think there are cheaper cards out there, even better than this one. Plus this card needs and older motherboard and DDR memory. Which are both expensive because they are out dated and not in production any more. This Card has lived its day and nowadays it is completely useless. i have even tried it while making 3d graphics , but even a bit bigger amount of vertexes will cause it to choke for 10-15 seconds. XFX GeForce 8800 GTX ... actually bought this graphics card around a year and a half a go and still it is able to play the most recent games coming out today and even with most of the shiny high specification game graphics options turned upto the highest. To give a an idea of how this card plays under some high intensive games, it performs well under Crytex s Crysis with average frame rates of around 30 and with the game Far Cry 2 it performs even better, with a solid 35 - 40 frame rate and with a very smooth and beautiful playing experience.
