... is one of the nwest offerings from nvidia, and from what iv seen, it shouldnt deserve to be released as a next gen card because it just isnt capable of beating many prev gen cards to a god standard. The card does pack good amounts of power for its price, but this doesnt justify a purchase over the 3850 from ati or even the 3870. XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Version ... i got this card for £78 from www.ebuyer.com, i bought because i had heard it can play crisis which is a game with the best graphics (at the time of this review). once it came i installed it with no problems, didnt use the drivers from the cd however because they are always outdated, downloaded the newest from nvidias site. In terms of performance this card copes very well,i am running vista and my processor is not the best (amd x2 4000+) but i am still able to play any game i want to. To get an idea of what this card can do i could play bioshock on highest settings, crisis on medium and with highest setting on company of heroes this card has no lag. On the half life 2... XFX GeForce FX 5200 ... NOT! buy this card if you plan on playing any sort of games, this card is strictly for standard desktop applications and dvd/video playback. what i do like about this card is its cheap price and compatabilty for older machines which means you dont have to buy a complete new computer for the sake of a graphics card. it was also very easy to install . for an extra aded bonues this card comes with a vga and dvi output this could be used for dual moniters.... XFX GeForce FX 5200 ... card is good, but its not the best. It wont compete with the PCIE cards now available, and if you do have a PCI E slot on your motherboard I would reccomend going for one of those. However, its still a good card. It is capable of running high graphicsc games such as Doom 3, although obviously not to the highest quality. The one bad thing about this card is the fan. After a year or so the fan on mine started making a horrific noise till it eventually gave out when running the aforementioned Doom and subsequently the card overheated and died.
