Advantages: TV, DVD, and 3D in one board.

Disadvantages: Expensive; 3D performance takes a hit

I just got this for my birthday and it rocks! DVD playback is so smooth, I can even run other apps now without dropping a frame! TV Tuner is really handy for me, since I am a university student with limited room. The picture looks a tad bit better then a real TV. I like how ATI has everything nice and tightly intergrated together. Makes switching from app to app easier! I love this card. Definately recommend it if you want a card that can do everything!

ATI cards do provide smooth all round performance, and great graphics, however I have severe reservations regarding the functionality of ANY card that fulfils more than one function. I work within the technical support industry and deal ergularly with graphics issues, or more correctly, invalid page faults created by the card. In my experience I've found that any card which has more than a single purpose is prone to being more temperamental when dealing with a lot of software. ATI cards I must say crop up all the time during my working week, mostly when dealing with Quicktime or with Intel Indeo. There seems to be a lot of conflict between the ATI drivers and these codecs. On the other hand, ATI cards are fitted as standard on many of the shelf PCs from any of the Time, Tiny, Gatweay mobs. This may be the reason for the frquency with which I see them popping up. Just my experience really. Hope it helps.

I think watching TV on the computer is alot more clear/crystal than tv because of the resolution. The price of this should come down so if you can wait go for it.
