Advantages: Cheap, easy to use software
Disadvantages: poor picture quality
This card is a waste of money. A friend of mine has it (or rather had it before we ripped it out and returned it) and we were both greatly disappointed in it. It lets you take in both composite and S-video input which is good since you can opt for the better connection if you have the capabilities. The included software, "ATI Multimedia Center," is used for the TV tuner, video editor, and DVD player all have a consistent design so it is easy to navigate and use. Not a high learning curve here. However, the video editing is very limited. But the main problem is that the picture quality is just so-so. It isn't anything that you would want if you are a serious, hard-core video capture and editing hobbyist like myself. If you just want to do some plain captures and compress them to send to family members or mess around with, then this is a fine card. But, if you want to do some stuff that you can really show off and looks professional, save your money and buy a really good mjpeg card.
