The ATI Radeon

ATI have revolutionised their graphics card’s reputation market with the Radeon. It’s amazing 64Mb of onboard reserved RAM is a truly amazing figure, especially for when this card was released.

And for around £150 it couldn’t come any better. Some people don’t like ATI cards, but in my mind, nowadays, they must be no-brainers. This fantastic card just deserves to be prayed to. Radeon graphics cards feature the leading-edge technology for unsurpassed graphics performance. Powered by the ATI Radeon graphics processing unit (GPU) Radeon comes to power all of today's hottest 3D games. It delivers immerse, realistic color and 3D graphics at the fastest possible frame rates. Along with a screen with decent hertz age, you can get really amazing performance. The Radeon Charisma Engine supports full transformation, clipping and lighting (T&L) for improvement in 3D details.

With full support for DirectX and OpenGL it accelerates all of today's top 3D games, including my favourites: Counterstrike and Unreal Tournament. 3D game characters are brought to life with the Charisma Engine support for other cutting-edge character animation such as vertex skinning and key frame interpolation. Sound good? It gets better. The charisma engine has capabilities beyond the GeForce 2 GTS Ultra engine and polygon interpolation is absolutely extraordinary.

Thanks for listening. It's well worth it: buy Radeon. -alexb.

Hopefully, because £dfx have been bought over by nVidia, we should see nVidia producing graphics cards which can run all the standards - DirectX, Glide and OpenGL which will make these cards a stronger proposition - I bought a radeon for my dad however, for normal non-gaming use, it's excellent.
