ATI Radeon 7000:
... Year i brought a brand new Voodoo 4 4500 32mb PCI graphics card. I decided to get a new one as the voodoo 4 4500 one had passed its shelf and base unit life. I went into my local wholesaler who i usually get my computer part off and he recommended to me using the ATI Radeon 7000 64Mb Graphics Card. At first i was tempted to say no untill he told me what features it had. I said that it must have more than the ba... Read the full review: VOODOO vs ATI by DOMINICQUICK2004 |

ATI Radeon 8500 ... not a full review, but rather a quick note to let the community know that "powered by ati" graphic cards have a little shortcoming in terms of service or warranty. I own a Powercolor Radeon 8500, in auctions often cited as ATI Radeon 8500 as it does have the ATI Radeon 8500 chip on it. However it is not manufactured by ATI, but by Powercolor, and therefore bears the sign "Powered by ATI". The card is not working any more, I got a black screen whenever I start windows or linux, whereas my other graphics adapter is still working, which proves that I do have a broken card. Thinking that I have a 3 year warranty by ATI, I filled out their RMA r... Read the full review: watch out for "powered by ati" signs! by elThomaso |

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256 ... both faster and has more features than the 9700 Pro, and generally matches the GeForce FX on the feature front. That alone will ensure that it sells by the proverbial bucket load. Our benchmarks have shown it to be the performance leader in the majority of benchmarks that we conducted. Excelling the key area of high resolutions and high settings of image quality (4x AA, 8x AF), it betters the 9700 Pro in almost every way. Evolutionary rather than revolutionary. After all, why change a winning formula ?. It should come in at roughly the same price point as the present 9700 Pro. That's good news for the consumer. With the promise of a 256MB version harnessing t... Read the full review: Best Graphics Card on the Market? by Lizzad |

ATI Radeon 9600 Pro ... at this card with the long term in mind. This card currently performs slightly slower then the Radeon 9500P, in most tests. I say "most" tests because it does out perform the R9500P in some cases. The card averages out to be fairly even with the Radeon 9500P overall. I think this card at later dates will pull ahead of the Radeon 9500P with newer drivers and future games. Both ATI and nVIDIA have had this problem before. Releasing cards optimized for future technology, that lags behind in current tests. But then blaze ahead once games start using, and supporting it's optimizationsOverall, the Radeon 9600P is an excellent card, but its label is a li...
