The club-3d graphincs card is a good card for alot of applications like watching videos on the internet and playing a few basic games but for alot of things you might need to spend a litlle bit more money. It has a DVI and HDTV out but if you want to actually watch blu ray movies and play games in high defenition the this card is definately insufficient. I have had this card for almost a year and it does have quite a few problems. If all you are using it for is basic un demanding applications like youtube and old games then it's great but as soon as you push it on some more modern games even as old as company of heroes then you will have serious problems. It will fail and even crash your computer after about 30 mins to an hour of gaming even on extremely low settings. Even watching HD videos on youtube you will notice a drop in framerates. I have overclocked thiscard using riva tuner to 561MHz core clock, 1134MHz shader clock and 500MHz on the memory and it increases the performance and framerates in games by a noticable amount but is stil not very good. if you want a card for todays applications i would reccomend spending around £50 - £100 at least. overall this is a reasonable card and it is very cheap for the performance, but its not that great for alot of things. I give it a 4/10. And remember, It's never too late to rate.
The 8400gs from Nvidia is and excellent video card for low range pc, ideal for media center pc, this video card can play all the media you may want to view including hd media and blue ray, the 3d power is somewhat modest so I suggest to stay away from this card if you want to play some modern game in a good resolution.
This particular card from club-3d it has a passive heat dissipator, so that mean no noise at all coming from little fan and it has:
1) an old crt exit, useful if you still have an old monitor
2) a DVI exit, useful for modern LCD monitor
3) a tv exit
It comes with 256 megabytes of ram and can be turbocached up to 512 that means it can use up to 512 megabytes of ram of your pc to work better.
It surely is a good solution if you use your pc only for office applications and multimedia, and you want a low price solution.
Being a low end card this video card actually has many other advantages, it uses less energy than many other video card , probably around 10 watt in idle and 38 while working and the price is very competitive , you can find this card in most stores for a price of £20 - £25
You can even play old game or even newer ones in very low resolution probably up to 1024x756 at max(1-2 years ago it was a high resolution but now is considered a low- normal resolution) but probably the best choice if your budget is somewhat higher in this case is at least a 8600gt for around £40-50 or a 9600 at £80-90
