Creative 3D Blaster Riva TNT2 Ultra ... faster clock speed and re-engineered 3D rendering pipelines of the new NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Ultra processor to the expertly engineered PCB and cooling fan, the newest 3D Blaster is built for speed. The peak performance specs are truly impressive: 15 gigaflops per second, over 9 million triangles, and up to 300 million fully rendered pixels per second. But the 3D Blaster RIVA TNT2 Ultra isn't just about phenomenal acceleration. It also sports one of the most complete 3D rendering engines found on any PC-based accelerator.

Critical features like full 32-bit color rendering, multiple textures, and textures as large as 2048x2048, bump-mapping, full-screen anti-aliasing, as well as stencil buffering deliver 3D images so compelling and so real, you'll think they're live! Now add 32MB of ultra high-performance memory and a 300MHz DAC to run 2D and 3D resolutions up to 1920x1200 in true color with rock solid, super stable refresh rates. No need to worry about dithering or color scaling - you'll get pixel perfect color, every time. When you demand the very best in performance, image quality, and reliability, you want the 3D Blaster RIVA TNT2 Ultra. It's the purest performance you can find.

Includes S-Video-Composite adapter cable.

... experience. The graphics card works in conjunction with your processor to draw complicated bjects and assist in reducing these frame-rates. The bad news is that many other cards do this far better than the Riva TNT2. Take the 3D first-person perspective game Deus Ex, for example. At anything above 800x600 resolution on medium texture detail my Riva TNT2 card struggles, even though the card itself has 32Mb of onboard memory and in my computer it ispushed along by a fairly powerful 700Mhz Pentium III. I got this card built into my PC when I bought it. At the time, the Geforce was still in the works and this card was pretty much THE card to own. It comes with 32 Mb of Graphics RAM, which by today's standards is still pretty good! This card has handled everything that I have thrown at it (except DVD playback -We'll go into that later). All the new games look pristine with this card - Black and White, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3 - all run perfect! With 3D applications, the card has handled the real-time rendering of fairly complex objects - using direct X shaders/ sometimes Open Gl. What else can be said to praise this card??! Oh yes - the ...  Read the complete review

I am currently running a Creative Riva TNT 2 Ultra on my system and would recommend it to everybody and anybody...If you could still get the card. I have trawelled through every computer reseller in the UK (okay I'm exaggerating, but not by much) and unless it stuck in the dusty corner of some of the PC World which dot the Great British countryside, you just can't get this card anymore, you can find plenty of it's handicapped little brothers called the M64's which retail for about £70 but these just don't hold a candle to the original TNT2 Ultra chipset. Creative (and indeed' Nivdia) want you to buy the shiny new Geforces (Pro ...  Read the complete review

I needed to buy a new grpahics card so I look through some magazines and decided on the TNT 2 Ultra Gamer. Deciding on a Graphics card is not an easy thing nowadays. Depending on what you want to do with it games, office use. Chosing a card was not easy I went for the tnt2 riva ultra gamer. Brilliant 32 bit colour, with fast frame rates stable drivers (detonator 3.84) games run like a dream. There is some slowdown mainly because of the spec of my machine. The price was a bargin at a £100 and it will last till something better comes alone. The graphics card specs Display Modes: 640 * 480 800 * 600 1024 * 768 On most monitors ...  Read the complete review

In terms of pure performance, set your sights higher than the Riva TNT2. Buying a powerful graphics card is usually the preserve of games-players to whom I would have difficulty recommending this card given the other options available. That said, for less intensive computer users the TNT2 is a good choice as it is low cost yet reliable. The standard test of pure graphics power comes down to frame rates - the more frames your graphics setup can draw per second, the more fluid your picture is and the better the gaming experience. The graphics card works in conjunction with your processor to draw complicated bjects and assist in reducing these frame-rates. The bad ...  Read the complete review
