XFX GeForce 7900GS ... 7900GS was in it s prime, one of the best cards around, although nowadays it is dwarfed in performance by 8800GTs and GTX 280s (the latter having in theory 10 times the power of this card). What must not be forgotten is that we do not in general need this power, for my 7900GS coupled with an E2180 processor, both at stock speeds, plays TF2 at 1920x1440 highest quality with no problems, it has played oblivion at 1280x1024 highest quality, and we are only now beginning to see it s limits. for example, it has not got the power to play some modern games at their highest resolution, or the memory to handle anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, it causes frame rates to d... Sapphire Radeon HD 3450 ... off, I would like to say that if you are looking for a high performance gaming card, this certainly isn t it. It would, however, serve perfectly well as a media PC card, especially since it has a bult in HD video decoding chip. Another great feature is the TV output function. It is fully HD compatible and the software supplied will allow you to customize the resolution to fit you monitor / TV. XFX GeForce 7900 GTX Extreme Edition ... graphics card is fantastic. Initially it was around £500 to buy, when i bought it, and was the best card available. It is several years old now and although updated versions of the card are available this one still holds it own against a vast number of other cards. When combined with a decent sound card e.g. Creative s X-fi sound card and a decent monitor with under 8ms refresh rate the gaming experience you can enjoy is superb. A game like Battlefield 2142 can be played in superb quality with the 512mb procesing power of the card easily being able to cope with the game.
