If you take only one piece of advice from reading this review then let it be - STAY CLEAR OF THE INTEL 810 Motherboard. With it's dire integrated graphics god only knows how it became so popular....oh wait, the reason is because it's so cheap. But in this case you certainly do get what you pay for. That is, not very much! The Intel 810 motherboard is a low cost Pentium 3/Celeron chipset designed for very low cost systems, and even though it has been superseded remains very popular. The Intel 810 chipset, for those of you unfamiliar with this lovely bit of kit, is Intels way of allowing motherboard manufacturers to produce and sell motherboards or inclusion in low cost PCs. This is possible due to the fact that the chipset, used to control the various other bits of kit attached to the motherboard and allow them to 'talk' to each other, also includes a built in graphics card. This means that the PC manufacturer doesn't have to spend out on a seperate graphics card for the unit, bringing down the selling cost. This low cost option does, however, have a downside.
