MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk
I have worked with the repair and new build of PC's for many years now and have designed systems for specific purposes. With one of my recent projects I decided to build a desktop PC specifically designed for gaming, after choosing my mainboard, cpu and ram I needed a high quality graphics card with a decent amount of onboard memory with a decent cooling unit to prevent any issue's with demanding games.
After searching for the web for days I came across the MSI N560GTX which screamed out with the features needed for my new build, driven by the Geforce GTX graphics engine with an integrated 1GB of onboard memory topped of with a maximum of 950Mhz clock speed.
The MSI N560GTX is a well designed and constructed piece of hardware with a competative price of just over £200 when purchased online! Been a plug and play device it is very easy to install given basic computer installation/upgrade knowledge. The card comes with its own drivers which can also be downloaded from the MSI website should you happen to loose the disc.
The card has 3 video outputs, 2x DVI and 1x Mini HDMI for high quality HD output. VGA can also be used via aDVI to D-Sub adaptor)
The card also comes integrated with the following features:
Afterburner (Enables boosted performance with compatible MSI cards)
Solid Capacitor (Designed specifically for gamers, designed and built for long-term use without any effect to performance of games)
HDMI Support (HDMI output for HD/Flatscreen monitors for crisp, high definition display)
The card also integrates Nvidia Cuda & SLI technology delivering up to twice the perfomance and allows software tools to accelerate specific applications performance.
The card is designed for a PCI 2.0 slot which delivers outstanding data transfer speeds up to 16gb per second.
There is also a twin propeller blade cooling system attached to the card which provides upto 20% more airflow covering a larger area for better heat dissipation.
As an overall I am over the moon with this graphics card, combined with my new 3ghz processor and 4gb ram the system is now one to be definitely admired.
I would really recommend this card to any regular gamer, someone who needs that bit more gaming performance or just anyone who requires a high spec system.
The card also comes with MSI Live update 5 which is a piece of software which checks the Bios, driver and utility's for updates which can search and update drivers in real-time.
Having tested the card with several high demanding games Battlefield 3, The Sims, Grand Theft Auto all I can say is WOW! The games play without any issue, with fast response and outstanding 3D rendering.
Hopefully this information can be of use to anyone looking for an upgrade, thanks for reading.
For not a lot of money you get a lot of technology! A card of this price usually doesn't have such a sophisticated cooling unit but this card comes with duel fans meaning the car runs super cool even under heavy gaming loads. The GTX 560 supports all the latest standards like DX11 and PhysX meaning games the latest games will look gorgeous when utilizing all these features. MSI make very high quality components so expect this card to be very durable. It's slightly slower than the 560 Ti but using the Afterburner software you can overclock this card resulting in a 10FPS improvement sometimes, with little impact on temperatures and life of the card.
The 560 is a very efficient GPU so even a 400 watt power supply will run it just fine. Make sure you have a decent CPU to compliment the card or you will experience throttling.
