The 8800 Series cards, despite there age are still a top end card. They are not the ultimate top end any more since the arrival of the 9x series of cards Nvida recently released but it is definitely something to brag about.
Being in the top end of the Nvida line, it supports up to 16X AF and AA (astronomical filtering and anti aliasing) which is the highest currently available for a desktop pc for gaming applications.
The card is rock solid in terms of reliability; I have punished my card for over a year and has not once let me down. Of course ice had games and 3d applications crash more times that what I consider fair, but has never been due too hard wear failure on the card's court.
Installation was a breeze, a simple 'plug and play'. The software and drivers went in very easily, although a word of warning, this card is very large at 10.5 inches, so check you can fit this thing in your case before you buy!
The card is pleasingly quiet as its fan does not make too much noise at all, although to compensate for this the card has a huge heat sink that covers the whole length of the card. It dose also produce a large amount of heat which is dispersed out of the back of the card and not in to your system case but be cautious that you have sufficient case cooling.
The card is worth every penny in my opinion but do have a look at the nvida competitors for the same amount, you might just find something better.

Summary: It's had its day, but is still very powerful card, and still has its bragging rights!
