Rating:
This card is based around the slowest and cheapest GPU in the GeForce 3 range. Don't let that put you off, though, as the card is still extremely capable as it offers full DirectX 8 compatibility, which newer cards such as the comparitivly priced GeForce 4 MX do not. The reason this is so important is because games are finally being released that support features such as pixel shaders, which give a fantastic reflective rippling effect to water. The GeForce3 range supports pixel shaders, meaning that games such as Morrowind and Commanche 4 have water that looks an order of magnitude more realistic. I bought one of these cards as a Dabs Value GeForce 3 Ti 200 for £95 (inc. VAT & delivery). The card itself appears well packaged and presented. The card has eye-catching blue heatsinks and a fan to cool the chipset. Installation was very simple and straightforward, although I was less than impressed at the failure to include Windows XP drivers. This was easily remedied by a trip to nVidia's website for the latest generic "Detonator" drivers - which installed and worked perfectly. So far I have yet to see the anticipated huge leap in performance (the card replaced an aging TNT2 M64), but I have yet to test it on a really demanding piece ... Read the complete review

This graphics card os one nice beast :) built around the basic geforce 3 but with the Ti technology in makes it go with quite a buz! Yep if you haven't guessed it i like this graphics quite a bit. Even though it doesn't have quite as large bandwidth as the standard Geforce 3 it does make up for it by having fast chips and more texture effects which more than make up for the difference. This product also sales for about £30 less to. At about £120 this porduct is also good value for money for a high performance graohics card, being upto twice as fast as most of the geforce 2's (and considerable faster than aything ati produce) So if you can afford a good ...
