Advantages: Quiet, fast and stable

Disadvantages: none as yet

I'v only had this card for a short time to replace the GeForce 5200, and I have to say its better.

Its a PCIE card, which is faster overall and it also boasts higher specs for the same average price. I bought mine for £59.99 in Maplin and it went on effortlessly in place of my old one. It was practically plug and play. The new software went straight on over the old and it remembered most of my settings. I was very pleased with the installation of this card and have already noticed advantages.

If you have read my review of the GeForce 5200 you will know that teh fan on mine packed in after a year or so, and while I cant say yet whether this one will do the same it certainly seems a lot smoother and quieter.

In comparison to the 5200, I can run games with higher quality settings and not experience any problems. The speed is good and its very stable, no glitches, freezing or crashing at all. There are a few good features included in the software and NVidia have done well with teh set-up menus. They can seem a bit confusing but you get used to them, but the quick access to screen settings is handy and easy to use. When you go into teh NVidia control panel you get features such as transparent explorer bar, handy mouse shortcuts and other features I'v never even had the oppertunity to use.

The manual and documentation come on the cd, as is becoming the norm these days and it seems simple enough.

It boasts some extra features, such as the HDTV out, and Turbo cache which is good value on a card of this price.

I havent had time to really test this card yet but so far I'm very pleased with it. It runs some taxing games and its capable of handling some very large 3D models in Sketchup or AutoCAD. I would reccommend it to someone looking for an upgrade to their system, but if you're a proffessional or need to run very large games, i would reccommend a 512MB or 1GB card.

Summary: I would reccommend this product to potential buyers
