Highly recommended graphics card that offers unbeatable performance at this price range

The Powercolor HD 4870 is a fantastic buy for anyone in the market for a mid to high-end specification graphics card to power their games.

The 4870 is unbeatable in this price range of graphics card, giving great frame rates on all the latest titles - thanks to its lightning fast 750mhz core clock speed (which can be overclocked even higher!)

512mb of quick GDDR5 memory on board this card help it to outclass many of its competitors as they often use the cheaper and slower GDDR3 specification. I have no problem running high end games such as Crysis Warhead and Fallout 3 at my 22 inch monitors high resolution of 1680x1050 thanks to this.

The only downside I came across with this graphics card is that it is a fairly large unit - I had to move two of my hard drives in my system so that the card would fit. This is important for a potential buyer to bare in mind as it could mean the card is not suitable for your system.

Apart from the largish size of the card I have had no problems whatsoever in over 8months of heavy use - its extremely reliable

Throw in the duel DVI outputs and numerous HDTV out and VGA inputs/outputs that are on offer, this card is impossible to beat.
