Advantages: Cheap, powerful
Disadvantages: Needs a powerfull PSU, rare bumps
When I first built my computer,it was a powerfull one and was very expensive,I didn't really need that good of a graphics card so i had bought a G-force4 graphics card.
It worked fine and i could play video very welland i was happy and hoped i wouldn't have to upgrade it ever.
But when I found a game called Driver, which was only a fiver, looked pretty good so I bought it.
Installed it and everything, only whenever I clicked the button to start it,it would come up with the error 'No 3D device found'.
Which was obviously reffering to a graphics card,
after finding a few game demos I found hardly any of them didn't work due to the poor graphics card.
The card I had before was Geforce cardwith 64mb ram i thought this was enough, but obviously wasn't as games would sometimes freeze slightly or jump.
Then I kept on having problems with the screen resoloution it would flick back to to 800X600 and everything would look really big I also assumed this was because of the graphics card.
I tried installing and re-installing graphic card drivers, the latest directX,nothing would work.
Then On ebuyer I found this card whilst browsing it was only £40 at the time, and said 3D supported,i was sure that 128mb would definately be enough, support for the latest directX 9.
When I first took the card out it was soooo sexy,it looked really good inside my computer,i hopped the card into on of the AGP slots, and fired up the computer.
WindowsXP detected the card and installed some drivers for it and I was off.
I was recommended to download a omega driver and they also work very well with the card.
Id try first of all try the card out on the driver game I wanted to play.it worked!.It actully worked!.
Well now that I had a decent enough graphics card it was time to buy some games so i bought a few of the top titles like GTA, Flight simulator which all played very well
And also its not just the game performence that increases, but also you will notice that video quality is much better, i have a 19 inch monitor and whenever i played a video in full screen, it would blur it all up, but now it is exeptional quality.
In conclusion i think this is one of the best cards ive seen for value, and would fully recommend it to a gamer, or someone that does alot of multimedia, movie editing ect.
Thanks very much for reading!
Summary: I think this is a nice cheap wonderfull card, recommended to anyone! :-)
