The 4890 is a great graphics card, featuring 1gb 256-bit GDDR5 memory, 850 mhz core clock, 125gb/second memory bandwidth and you're all thinking cut to the chase does it play games well!?
The answer to that question is: Yes.
It plays games very well, games such as Counter Strike: Source, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I personally play games at 1920x1080, which is a high resolution, and this card's 1gb memory handles that well. I generally have high settings and still manage to achieve a constant framerate of 60.
With the addition of the 5000 series, the 4000 series seem to have been lost. However they are great for those budget buyers, they still offer GREAT performance at low prices. For little over £100 you could buy one and get great gaming performance from this chip.
It is also silent too, even at loud the fan is barely audible which is becoming an even more desirable feature to graphics cards nowadays. It also runs cool, not exceeding any limits.
So if you're looking for a cheap, but performance graphics card, look no further.
