Advantages: dedicated 512 MB of Memory and Clock Speed of 1.6
Disadvantages: nothing
My review of the GeForce 9600GT features better precision to the prior generations Graphic cards and this card is built for Windows Vista.
It's recommended Power Supply is 400 Watts but to be on the safe side i bought a 500watt PSU and runs without a problem
with a dedicated 512 MB of Memory and Clock Speed of 1.6 this beauty runs like a dream (playing Call of Duty 4 6 hours a night with precision quality no jumping or slow frame rates) with DirectX 10 GPU which delivers great levels of graphics
With the support of high resolution (up to 2560x1600) My 37Inch HD 1080p tv smoothly playbacks my movies with no problems.
GeForce 9600GT is able to playback H.264, MPEG-2, and WMV video with minimal CPU usage so the PC is free to do other work.
also this card has a NVIDIA nView multi-display technology which provides the ultimate in viewing and control for more monitors, which i use sometime while watching a movie and letting my girlfriend browse the web at the same time without disturbing the movie :).
This Graphic's card also supports NVIDIA SLI technology delivers up to 2x the performance of a single GPU by allowing exact same cards two graphics cards to run in parallel. But must have the SLI motherboard to be able to use 2 cards together. Sadly I didn't buy this so cannot comment on this much
Summary: Great item glad i bought one
