Advantages: Brilliant for Gaming
Disadvantages: Less technologically able people may struggle to install it
I recently bought this graphics card to speed up the family computer and enable it to play the latest PC games, as it had only the integrated Intel graphics before.
I have to say, it has done a marvelous job and I can now play all the latest PC titles. It is available for very good prices on the internet and I got mine for around thirty pounds including postage.
It has 512MB of onboard memory, supports DirectX 9 and 10 and enables you to watch high-definition movies on your computer. This means you can watch high definition films six times the detail of standard DVDs. Windows Vista Aero features such as the sidebar and Flip 3D are enhanced by the graphics processor.
The gaming performance is 3.8 times that of normal integrated Intel graphics. It is installed very easily by plugging it into the PCI express slot on your computers motherboard. And if you do get stuck there is a very clear instruction manual included. It comes with the NVidia drivers on a disk inside the box. The card will only work with Windows XP and Windows Vista though, so make sure your system is up to date before you purchase it.
Summary: Great, cheap graphics card.
